started a fur course online.. community.artapprenticeonline.com/$300 for two day workshop in Houston... this is much better at $75 intro price.. but sign up at AAO & look around... lots of ppl there, friendly. ,. more info than you can hold.. they have many online courses, two schools.. i started the fur course. Yes, this is my second woody pecker... first one is in San Antonio...gifted to a friend there... and the fur course is in acrylics... Traditions brand they market.. they say it is very very good. i ordered some and a fur brush... rake brush actually..

Well...the WC paper sheds if you scrub on it much.. This is the nicest photo we got.. It's the AAO course! working on another vase...more advanced and intricate than the first. then,.. the Lion on the Ishtar gate of Babylon is last...then on to tier 2... way huge.. My lil brain iz gonna burst. but it fun to learn, yes?

Red Figure Vase 11 x 14 530 BCE it began in Athens where they started copying the black figure vase...then perfected the procedure, leading to red figure on black vase... My Lion on the Ishtar Gate of Babylon in a few days! The instructor does it on 11 x 14, i thought she said 11 x 24 and i bought a 12 x 24 canvas.... might put two on it!!! How do you like Dem apples? Babylonian Ishtar Gate The Ishtar Gate in Babylon was built by King Nebuchadnezzar II in 575 BC and was dedicated to the goddess Ishtar. This was a double gate and its appearance was breathtaking, decorated with glazed brick reliefs of dragons and young bulls. It was intended to be a magnificent entry gate through which triumphant soldiers, ritual-following priests, or processions could pass. There were 60 lions on each side of the Way...which is half mile long on each side... I put two on 12 x 24 canvas.. DecoArt Traditions Tier 1 is complete! Attachments:
