This is an art festival that I like to go to every year. All of the artwork is done by local homeless people. The proceeds received go directly back to them. There is some amazing artwork and it's such a wonderful project to help get them back into society. To see them proud of something when they have been so withdrawn from the world is quite amazing. www.artfromthestreets.com/index.html#buy

craZ that is SUCH a cool idea! I wonder if we could organize something like that here in Atlanta. You know, Austin is a front runner in the art world in so many different ways. Just another example of the cool people in the Austin art scene! ;D

If i'm not mistaken this is a national project.
They are always looking for donations of art supplies and for teachers willing to give lessons.
