Hi Everyone,
Peggy is still in the hospital. Yesterday they put a pin in her knee so they could attach a weight to her and try to keep her hip in place. Unfortunately, everytime they moved her the pin moved so it wasn't successful.
They are going to have to do another surgery on her monday and put pins in her hip and her femur. Apparently the thigh bone broke off just under the ball that fits into the hip joint.
Y'all please please check your decks. This was so unexpected and it could have killed her. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I am passing them along to her.

Peggy is still in the hospital. I spent yesterday afternoon with her. They finally took the pillow that they had her ankles strapped too off of her. She was feeling a bit more comfortable just because she could move her good leg. She still has to sleep with it on but at least she is free during her waking hours.
They are wanting to send her to a rehab center for a few weeks when she leaves the hospital and then she may be coming to my house for a few weeks after that. She has a lot of stairs at her house so she is going to have to recover some before she can take those.
Anyway, that is the latest. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers and she continues to heal.

A rehab may be a good thing...if they are nice...not mean. Yep...stairs are tough for sure. I got a long rod? strip from the top of my femur down almost to knee.. a screw at top and bottom. All that with a hole in my right brain from the stroke. wheeeeeeeeeee!!! Ain't it a Grand adventure!!!! Hope she gets much better real soon. For sure it hurts when they move her leg...excrtutiating. well maybe not as much anymore but don't think she isn't hurting. Admire her for handling it as well as she does. Gary

Hey Gary,
Yeah I have a LOT of admiration for her. They just did a second surgery on her this monday. This time they had to do a complete hip replacement because her bones weren't healing together properly and she had some infection. She's doing great with the hip replacement though. She actually took three steps yesterday. YAY! ;D Anyway, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve her. I just wish it wasn't in this way because she's got so much pain. I just got home from work and I'm exhausted. I think I will take your advice from the other thread and get some sleep. Talk to you soon hon. It's so great to see you post here. *HUGS*
