Gary I love this! I'm all about anything having to do with the coast. Are you teaching her how to paint as well?

Deb brought her hubby tonight to paint. Reem fed us...we looked at a couple things on my 'puter...did not paint a thing. they talked for an hour or more then our guests left. *Hugs* Well hon I know it's frustrating but sometimes things like that happen. Are you giving Deb's hubby lessons or were the two of you just going to paint leisurely?

Don't know your method, but it looks something like Bill Alexander or Bob Ross's wet on wet. Fascinating stuff. Not able to do it myself, but you certainly did a nice job. Particularly like the blending on the clouds... very well done.

Gary this looks wonderful too. Is this also the wet on wet technique? I think you have a LOT of patience! *L*

Gary, please don't give up! You are creating beautiful art. I would highly recommend you working with Don for a bit if you need some help on the imagination creativity end. He's an awesome coach! I'm going to be posting the finished piece here soon that began with his "two minute to create art" exercise. I really had fun doing it and it let me relax and go in a different direction. Sometimes I think all of us artists need that and we forget because we are so busy trying to create the "perfect" piece ya know?

Gary, I am curious. When you are painting with oils how do you go about fixing "flat". Is it done with shading and shadows?

Hi Gary. Thanks for posting this pic. You know what amazes me about you? You aren't afraid to try anything! I am so impressed that you keep on trying and trying with water. I suck at water! LOL I saw you had posted on FB that you think it still needs work. I can't wait to see what you do with it next.

I might try this when I get some oil paints. Right now I'm working with acrylics and water colors. I'm going to have some things to post soon. You keep amazing me how much painting you are getting done! Great job! I love it when you share your work here.

Gary those look great! Don't you just love Wilsons colors? I can't wait until his new canvas boards are ready. I sketched a fairy on a box today. I'll post pics when I get back from work tomorrow. *Hugs* Keep on painting my friend!
