I've begun an art challenge. I'm creating a "J" a day for 365 days. This isn't meant to be fine art, but rather is an exercise in commitment and thinking outside the box. Here is my first "J". Y'all can check out my blog if you are interested in seeing some others. I would love any comments if you feel like it too. Thanks!

Thanks y'all This is really kind of a fun challenge. Not only is it making me think more and plan ahead but it's also making me want to get back into more serious painting. Here is todays J

Todays' J is a bit odd to me. I don't know why this came out of me. It is sort of sad looking to me. I don't feel sad today so I really can't explain it. LOL

Well todays J turned out completely different than I expected. I thought it was going to be a zentangle, but it decided it wanted to be a hot rod instead. Go figure.

Todays J is a bit different. I actually embedded the J's in the drawing. Can you find them?

Thanks Gary. I'm really having fun drawing them. It's kind of cool the different ideas that have come to me. It's almost like this exercise is freeing my mind to think in many different directions. Here is todays J. It's a nod to my insomnia and how I felt when the clock went off. LOL

Today is J9 and it's titled "In the Fire". Recently I've been doing some pretty serious inside work. I was thinking today about how some metals burn blue when you put them to the fire. Hence the blue in the J.

I woke up in the middle of the night last night and realized I had forgotten to post my J on the board. Oh no! Horrors! I did post it on my blog but I forgot to post it here. I was, however, too tired to get up and do it last night so here it is this morning.

I created todays J in the middle of an early spring cleaning of my art studio. I stopped to take my vitamins and my J appeared. hehe

Today I was thinking of pink flamingos. I do this often. I thought about trying to paint a neon pink flamingo sign but decided against it for now. Then I decided a pink neon J would be fun. I think I might try this again with paints at some point. This is done in colored pencils. Mainly because I was running out of time today and I refuse to renege on my commitment.

You paint beautifully already! LOL I wonder if we could find some vitamin P for painters? hehe Okay I didn't post my last two J's here because I was exhausted. I did make them however and I did post them on my blog. Here is my J from day before yesterday. I made this one while thinking about a friend of mine who died suddenly of a heart attack. It was right after his memorial service and it was all I could do at the time.
